The incident caused multiple fractures on her pelvic bone, spine, hips and legs, along with other internal wounds. Flores faces future surgeries and will undergo physical therapy.
A fundraiser has been set up to assist with her recovery. As of Monday, Oct. 2, more than $5,410 has been raised.
"All that’s being asked is for a helping hand through this hard time to support Iris and her family," Diana Climaco and Anahis Borjas, who organized the fundraiser said. "Please keep them all in your prayers and thoughts."
